Sidelights
Windows that are placed on either side of a door are called sidelights and a window that runs above a door is called a transom.
I have done two of these projects. One was for Dr. Lisa, which included two sidelights and an oval door window. I have yet to take a picture of this finished project....
A second one I finished was for Laura's new house, built by the Village Builder. I kept a journal of this one which you can view here. This one involved two sidelights and a large transom (pictured on the right).
Early 2007, I created a sidelight for Lucy's new house. She loved the pansy's we made before, and wanted to add tulips and fuschia. You can see the process of building this window here.
During Dec 2006, I designed a small transom to go above a front door for Wolff and Denise. This window also has a humming bird and fuschia. It was given to Wolff as a Christmas present. As soon as he has it installed I will take a finished picture of it, but here is what it looked like BEFORE hanging it up...
